It was dark in the hangar when I put the memory card back into the PDA...
backwards! I brought it home so I could get the card out and now the thing
won't boot up. It's hung at the "Q" splash screen and, when put on the
cradle, the light does not come on.

I can't shut it off, only do a hard reset, and then it goes back to the
splash screen.

Is it trash? Anybody have a suggestion?

Hi Dan,

Take both batteries out while not connected to external power and leave them
out for about 30 minutes. Then put them back in and it should boot fine.

I woke up this morning with just that thought and it worked. Thanks, Paul.

Now I need to find an online manual so I can reconfigure it.

Dan, the best advise I can give for the Aero series is to use Q
utilities to make a CF backup when you have it set up the way you want
it. You can recover from any nasty event in just a few minutes and do
it at the airport without any need for a supporting computer.

At the end of the season a make a current CF backup, make sure the
main battery if fully charged, then remove the main and backup
batteries. Start of next season just replace the batteries, quick
freshen of the charge, then restore the configuration.

You can of course save the CF backup file to you PC and keep multiple
versions of it if you modify the name. That protects you from loss of
the CF card. You can make similar backup with ActiveSync but you don't
need to have it.

Thanks, Andy, I'll check into the CF backup. Normally, I don't quit for any
season, in fact, I had a 3.6 hour flight just yesterday. Didn't get far,
but it was fun poking around at the rotors trying to get up into the wave.
No luck this time but I did succeed a week ago.

I am using ActiveSync...
